With growth comes change. You have heard us say this often in recent months, and the phrase continues to be true. As the Lord continues to show us favor, more and more families are showing up at Restoration Church. So…what is the change that is coming?
We believe the best, next move is to “Plant a Service”. This language comes from my friend, Matt Heerema at Stonebrook Community Church in Ames. The phrasing is intentional because we are NOT creating another service time for convenience; we are “planting”. You’ve heard us use that word before. With multiplication being one of our values, it makes sense that we’d want to “plant.” Here’s what that means:
We need missionaries to serve and gather in strategic places to increase our impact in the community. Beginning December 1st, we will launch two service times (8:30 & 10:30 AM). These times will allow us to double our capacity without spending any money! The change will also allow us to relieve stress in rKids, where we’re averaging nearly 50 children since April! Another huge benefit to the two services is the opportunity to serve and worship. Throughout the life of Restoration Church, this has been one of the struggles when serving in rKids. With two services, you NO LONGER are limited to just listening to the sermon recording, you’ll be able to worship with your family either before or after serving.
While this change may be difficult for some, we must remember that the goal is to reach people with the gospel! Let’s do it together by creating more space!
