Vision Overview

What are you doing with your life? If you’ve had conversations with me, there is a good chance that I’ve asked you this question. But why? The reasoning is simple: I believe that each of us has a purpose and God has uniquely designed each of us to fulfill that purpose. “What are you doing with your life” is, inherently, a question about vision.

I believe vision is equally important for the individual and the organization. If you’re a part of an organization, regardless of size, there is probably some sort of intentionality towards where the company is going or what they are doing. The same should be true of the church.

Restoration Church utilizes a tool called the Vision Frame (see graphic below). This tool, designed by Will Mancini, has been an extremely important part of shaping Restoration Church’s vision with precise wording and direction. In short, here is the vision of Restoration Church:

Mission: seeing lives restored through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Strategy: Love. Live. Lead

Values: Intentionality, Sincerity, Locality, Multiplication

Marks:

  • Restored to a relationship with God

  • Gather regularly (group & corporate)

  • Actively share the gospel

  • Actively serve the mission

  • Sacrificially give to the mission

These four pieces (mission, strategy, values, marks) make up the frame around the picture. The picture is what’s known as the Vision Proper. The picture is where God is taking us. We’re excited about this piece because we believe that God is going to do big things over the next 20 years! Here is our Vision Proper, which is broken up into next 4 quarters, 1 year, 8 years, 20 years:

2042 – impact 15% of Adel

2030 – 3 to 5 full time staff, Permanent Facility (Ministry Center), Send 3 church plants, Impact 5% of Adel

2024 – Roll out Discipleship Pathway 2022-2023:

  • Q1 – Celebrate

  • Q2 – Engage

  • Q3 – Evangelize

  • Q4 – Gather

We are excited about all that the Lord is doing in the life of our church! Over the next several weeks and months, look for articles that dig into each piece of the vision.
